The bright future of CCU: CO₂-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026, 28-29 April 2026, Maternushaus, Cologne (Germany)

Don't miss the opportunity to take a deep dive into the not-so-distant future of CCU and be prepared for the CCU revolution

Interest in CCU/PtX technologies, which use CO₂ as a feedstock for fuels, chemicals, and plastics, is growing rapidly. Many of these technologies are now mature enough to justify investment.

What is driving this interest? Technological advances, affordable renewable energy, crises in the supply of fossil fuels, the desire for resilience and strategic autonomy, stronger political support and clear benefits for climate protection.

Added to this are large-scale CCU projects in the field of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs). By 2050, at least 35% of aviation fuels must be produced synthetically from CO₂. This process generates a variety of by-products for the chemical industry, such as e-naphtha.

Methanol, the cheapest molecule that can be produced from CO₂, serves as an alternative to cracker chemistry, which is on the decline in Europe.

Alongside the excellent program (see below), the CO₂-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference and exhibition offer ample networking opportunities, a modern matchmaking system, long breaks throughout the day, an evening meeting point the night before the conference, and a dinner buffet at the end of the first day.
