On 3rd to 4th October 2024, Michael joined the General Assembly of our partner association CO2 Value Europe, the European industry association for CCU, including a conference and working group on strategies for quicker CCU implementation.
Symposium: ‘Research, develop, scale, transform – shaping the bioeconomy together for sustainability and competitiveness!’ Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection
On 7th to 8th October 2024, Michael was invited to meet with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate in Berlin to discuss the Renewable Carbon Strategy: Bioeconomy, CCU and Recycling. Next to the symposium, Michael joint four workings groups in strategies for enhancing the bioeconomy and circular economy, including bio-based, CO2-based and recycling. The basic graphic for developing a strategy was the nova/RCI 2050 scenario. RCI member CropEnergies presented the new policy instrument „CUTS – Carbon Utilization Trading System“.
Cerdia (CH) is a producer of cellulose acetate based on wood pulp from sustainable forestry. Cerdia is working on ways to replace fossil-based with cellulose acetate-based materials and is also looking into options to increase the overall renewable carbon content in its products.
